  • Noon Release (NO Beyond the Bell): Last Day of School: Summer work assignments will go home for rising 1-8 (more information to follow)

From the SGGS Business Office

All financial accounts(tuition/lunch) with an outstanding balance for school year 22-23 must be paid by June 7th. Please contact the school business office with any questions on your outstanding balances.  If accounts are not paid in full report cards and records may be delayed until you contact the business office. . 

Beyond the Bell Tax Information  Parents needing Beyond the Bell payment information for taxes can obtain a receipt for the calendar year by following the instructions here.

From the Library: ALL library books are due back in the library.  If you lost a book, send in the cost of the book ASAP.

Become a Pearl Home   The SGGS Nature Club is running a Pearl Home Campaign in order to earn the coveted Pearl School Award, given by Lynnhaven River NOW to schools that demonstrate excellence in Stewardship, Environmental Education and Sustainability. If you would like your home to become a Pearl Home, go to the website https://www.lynnhavenrivernow.org/vb-residents/ and fill in the application online. Important Nurse Announcement  As we approach the end of another school year, here are a few reminders from the clinic:

MEDICATIONS CAN BE PICKED UP BY 2 PM ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 7. MEDICATIONS STILL REMAINING IN THE CLINIC BY NOON ON THURSDAY, JUNE 8 WILL BE PROMPTLY DISCARDED, AS PER VIRGINIA STATE GUIDELINES. PLEASE make arrangements during the last week of school to have your child’s medications picked up from the clinic. 

LISTED BELOW ARE THE GRADE SPECIFIC HEALTH REQUIREMENTS FOR SCHOOL ENTRY, PER THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH. It is recommended that you contact your family pediatrician (not the Main Office) if you have any questions on your child’s immunization status and, if necessary,  make an appointment as soon as possible, since appointment times become harder to come by later in the summer. 

Rising Kindergarteners:

  • Current physical examination performed within one year of first day of school (on our AFTER the date of 8/21/2022)
  • Immunization record with the following REQUIRED up to date vaccines:
  • Diphtheria, Tetanus, & Pertussis (DTaP, DTP, or Tdap) 
  • Polio (IPV) Vaccine 
  • Varicella (Chickenpox) Vaccine
  • Hepatitis A (HAV) Vaccine 
  • Hepatitis B Vaccine 
  • Measles, Mumps, & Rubella (MMR) Vaccine 

Rising 7th Graders:

  • Required up to date vaccines:
  • Meningococcal Conjugate (MenACWY) Vaccine
  • Diphtheria, Tetanus, & Pertussis (Tdap)

If you have any questions or concerns, please email Nurse Boze (jboze@sggsvb.org) prior to the end of the school year. The clinic will be closed over the summer. 

Used Uniform Donations  Are you doing some Spring Cleaning? Has your child had a growth spurt? We’re in the process of gathering clean, gently worn donations for the used uniform closet.  Please bring donations to the main office. No holes, patches, stains, or visible wear. All items in the closet are $1 and we rely on your clean donations to keep our closet bountiful.
