1st-5th grade Scholastica Hall is home to our Saints in grades 1st through 5th. These Saints follow a daily schedule beginning at 7:50 am and dismissing at 2:45 pm. Students attend weekly All School Mass, as well as weekly enrichment classes in PE, art, computer/technology, Spanish classes, library, and general music. Hot lunches are served in our cafeteria where we gather to eat, followed by daily outdoor play. Our Saints enjoy multiple playgrounds and outdoor toys/sports.
Scholastica Saints are part of our school-wide House System. First grade is the House of Saint Joseph, second grade is the House of Saint Rose, third grade is the House of Elizabeth, and fourth grade is the House of Bakhita. At the end of 4th grade, SGGS holds a House sorting ceremony in the gym. Students attend and cheer as each 4th grade student waits patiently to grab an envelope and discover which House they have selected. Students are welcomed into their new house with joy and elation like none other! They will remain in this house throughout their time at SGGS.
