School Profile and Accreditation

Accreditation
Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA) is a worldwide leader in accreditation and school improvement. For over 130 years, the Middle States Association has been helping school leaders establish and reach their goals, develop strategic plans, promote staff development, and advance student achievement. Hundreds of faith based schools seek out MSA accreditation because MSA supports and recognizes the importance of having schools fulfill their missions under their specialized faith-based traditions and values.

Curriculum
The basic curriculum consists of classes in religion, mathematics, language arts, reading, science, social studies, as well as semi-weekly classes in physical education. Each class also participates in weekly art, computer, library, and music classes. Spanish is offered once weekly in grades kindergarten through grade five, three times weekly in grades six and seven, and five days a week to grade eight students. Eighth graders who qualify are able to take Geometry, Algebra 1, and Spanish 1 for high school credit. Further information regarding the curriculum is posted on the Diocese of Richmond website.
