SGGS is so happy to announce that our very own Ms. Beatrice Korka, 2nd grade teacher, was recognized last evening with a Diocesan Educational Award of Excellence by our Diocese of Richmond Bishop, his Excellency Bishop Barry Knestout and Mrs. Kelly Lazzara, Superintendent of Schools. Of the twenty-three teachers honored at the ceremony, Ms. Korka was one of four teachers who earned this additional Diocesan recognition. Thank you, Ms. Korka for being such a shining star in our SGGS sky and guiding our young Saints on their educational and faith journies! We are honored, humbled, and beyond proud to call you a Saint!
🏓 Talk about Field Day success! Saints of all ages were able to enjoy the weather and run around like kids should, getting good and dirty! A huge thank you to Mr. Duesberry and Ms. Lorri for setting up such a great day for our Saints and all the parent and 8th grade volunteers who helped make sure everything ran smoothly! Assistant Principal, Mrs. Dahl, was lucky enough this week to have some little helpers keep things in order. 3rd Graders, Penelope and Sophia N., each took a day to be Assistant Principal for the Day this week. They read to some of our younger Saints, helped with administrative tasks, and toured the buildings on campus, checking in with teachers and students to see how the end of their year was going! Great job, ladies! Thanks for helping out!
